Onlykey Color Unresponsive, except if I short the two pins

Hi all,

I have several OnlyKeys. One of the ones I don’t use very often didn’t respond at all when I plugged it into USB the other day.

As far as I can tell, it doesn’t cause Windows to think there’s a device plugged in, -unless- I plug it in and then short the two firmware pins on the corners. Then it negotiates and the Teensy app can apparently sort of see it. However, it won’t give me a green arrow for programming it.

The OnlyKey app cannot see it in any case, and remains at the “Plug in your OnlyKey” state.

I think this OnlyKey is newer, so maybe it cannot be used with the Teensy, but what do I do if the OnlyKey never shows up enough for the OnlyKey app to accept it?

I tried plugging it into a linux host, since those have so much nicer dmesg output, and I do see it show up as a USB device, but only when I short the two pins.

At no point is there ever any LED output from the OnlyKey, though.

Please help!

Thanks,
Justin
