Unable to factory reset onlykey DUO

can anyone tell me what i’m doing wrong? i can’t unlock it with the code i set. can’t self destruct it. can’t factory reset it. basically anything that requires me to press a button gets a single yellow blink. i wrote the code down when i set it. it was a test code. i just used 2112112 to make sure everything works before i set up any 2fa on it, so if i have to RMA this thing, it’s not a big deal. I’ve used the other onlykey for at least five years. i’m very comfortable with it. i thought this would offer a different unlock method since it has only two buttons. it’s kind of unbelievable that they expected someone to enter a 7 digit code that isn’t all 1’s and 2’s. this must be only for very high security stuff like the dark web or something that you don’t mind taking it off of your key ring and …doing whatever it must take to actually unlock it. this seems like it would be a really inconvenient hassle to use several times per day. I think i misunderstood what this is for or something. i must have. cause it doesn’t make any sense to use this as the same way that you use the onlykey that i’ve had for so long. i just pop it off of my keys and plug it in, hit the code. takes 3 seconds. i don’t have very big hands or anything. they’re pretty calloused but it doesn’t affect using the old one. it really boggles my mind that i can’t even unlock it. lol

You can type the PIN for the OnlyKey DUO in the OnlyKey App, entering on the 1 and 2 buttons is just for emergency use. If you enter 10 incorrect PINs the device will factory reset.

yes, thank you for the response. i have since solved my issue and i don’t know why it was happening, but something was causing my PC to lag when interacting with the DUO. like everything it would paste would come extremely slow, i needed to enter the digits of my pin VERY SLOWLY with pauses or it seemed to be getting commands out of order. judging by watching the reactions the Onlykey app shows at the bottom edge of the UI. Once i noticed it was like lagging almost like an emulator lags, i just uninstalled Onlykey app, redid the pin/code entry with long pauses, so that each input arrived or whatever is going on, then reboot, reinstall, try again and everthing was pretty fine. except for having to take the USB-A insert out of the adapter entirely. I am a little wary of it, but i swapped the carabiner type ring with one of those really thin lanyards for cameras or phones etc. it’s much easier to handle this way. i don’t need to separate it all to use it. it’s much better this way, but i worry that it may get snagged and lost off of my keys like this somewhat. i need to find a better keyring still. it’ll do for now. i really liked the hardware pin keys on the Old model Do you know if it’s possible to clone an Onlykey entirely? can i have two of them? One DUO and one original with the same credentials loaded for everything that fits into a slot and just making sure the important ones didn’t get passed over for less important logins. I don’t know if i like that it doesn’t seem to autofill the usernames to logins anymore. is that a setting i’ve overlooked or just a revision of the way the product works for some reason? is it system control mode that needs to be enabled for users names to autofill also?
